Some of the services we offer here at bel-red sleep diagnostic center

If you suffer from any of these scroll down to make an appointment

Insomnia evaluation

Insomnia is a sleep disorder in which you have trouble falling and/or staying asleep. The condition can be short-term (acute) or can last a long time (chronic). It may also come and go. Acute insomnia lasts from 1 night to a few weeks. Insomnia is chronic when it happens at least 3 nights a week for 3 months or more.

Sleep Apnea testing

Sleep apnea can occur when the upper airway is blocked during sleep, stopping airflow. A breathing device can help prevent complications.

restless leg evaluation and treatment

Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS), also known as Willis-Ekbom Disease, is a neurologic sensorimotor disorder that is characterized by an overwhelming urge to move the legs when they are at rest. The urge to move the legs is usually, but not always, accompanied by unpleasant sensations.

It is less common but possible to have RLS symptoms in the arms, face, torso, and genital region. RLS symptoms occur during inactivity and they are temporarily relieved by movement or pressure. Symptoms of RLS are most severe in the evening and nighttime hours and can profoundly disrupt a patient's sleep and daily life..

Snoring issues

Snoring is the hoarse or harsh sound that occurs when air flows past relaxed tissues in your throat, causing the tissues to vibrate as you breathe. Nearly everyone snores now and then, but for some people it can be a chronic problem. Sometimes it may also indicate a serious health condition.

narcolepsy Testing

Narcolepsy is a chronic sleep disorder characterized by overwhelming daytime drowsiness and sudden attacks of sleep. People with narcolepsy often find it difficult to stay awake for long periods of time, regardless of the circumstances. Narcolepsy can cause serious disruptions in your daily routine.

patient education

At our office we offer free brochures/handouts on patient education from sleep apnea to heart conditions. If its sleep related we will have the information you need. Another great service we offer for our active patients is free one on one time with one of our CPAP specialist. We will answer and spend as much time as you need to make sure your sleep apnea needs are met. All you have to do is call our office so we can schedule a time with you that works both with our tech and you.

in lab sleep studies

An in-lab sleep study, also known as a polysomnogram, records your brain waves, heartbeats and breathing as you sleep. It also charts your eye movements, limb movements and oxygen in your blood. This data will help your doctor make a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan.

A board-certified sleep medicine physician may recommend an in-lab sleep study to:

  • Test for sleep-related breathing disorders including sleep apnea.
  • Evaluate behaviors during sleep due to parasomnias
  • Diagnose narcolepsy or hypersomnia along with the MSLT
  • Titrate or calibrate the levels of continuous positive airway pressure in patients who receive CPAP therapy for sleep related breathing disorders.
  • Determine why treatment for a sleep disorder is not working.

in home testing

A home sleep apnea test is a very simplified breathing monitor that tracks your breathing, oxygen levels, and breathing effort while worn. It does not fully capture what is monitored with an overnight sleep study

poor sleep hygiene

Frequent sleep disturbances and daytime sleepiness are the most telling signs of poor sleep hygiene. In addition, if you're taking too long to fall asleep, you should consider evaluating your sleep routine and revising your bedtime habits. Just a few simple changes can make the difference between a good night’s sleep and night spent tossing and turning.

Sleep apnea treatment

At our office we offer sleep apnea treatment with the most recent CPAP and BiPAP machine on the market.as well as mask. If your needing a special mask that we do not offer we will always order the mask for you so we can make sure your sleep apnea needs are met.
